Job summary

Cathcart Technology in Oldham is seeking an Android Developer to join a software team delivering the next generation of Android-based products. The role is hybrid with three days onsite, focusing on a payment devices roadmap and integration with hardware where required.

You will work on production-quality Android applications, contribute to testing and release processes, and collaborate across software and firmware teams to bring commercial Android products from development to market.

Qualifications

• Around 2-5 years’ commercial Android development experience.
• Experience building production Android applications.
• Strong understanding of the Android ecosystem and modern development practices.
• Experience integrating applications with APIs, external services or devices.
• An understanding of testing and how to build reliable commercial Android applications.
• Comfortable working as part of a wider software and hardware engineering environment.
• Experience with payments, payment integrations, payment devices or other hardware integrations is useful.
