Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Anchorage Engineer for a significant role at Hinkley Point C Power Station. Ideal applicants will possess a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and experience in reinforced concrete fastening design, along with knowledge of RCC and Eurocode standards. Job description

Job Title: Anchorage Engineer | Duration: Staff | Location: Hinkley Point C Power Station | Reference Number: R(phone number removed) | Salary: £60,000

We are looking for an Anchorage Engineer who will support the Steelworks & Anchorage team on one of the UK's largest nuclear power projects. You will ensure quality anchorage design and analysis, from assumptions to calculations and risk evaluation. Your future team is central to civil integrity across the nuclear island.

Key responsibilities
  • Analyse and verify the consistency of technical input data
  • Produce assumption notes, technical specifications, and calculation reports
  • Coordinate the work of CAD Designers with the Design Office Manager
  • Design structural fastenings into reinforced and pre‑stressed concrete
  • Perform technical verification of civil documentation
  • Maintain and update the Design Risk Register
  • Identify and propose technical solutions to engineering constraints
  • Collaborate across teams to support safe and compliant design development
Qualifications
  • Civil/Structural Engineering degree with anchorage design knowledge
  • Experience designing fastenings in reinforced concrete
  • Understanding of RCC and Eurocode standards
  • Working knowledge of ANSYS software
  • Experience managing design changes and layout constraints
  • Awareness of UK Health & Safety regulations
