Job summary

Xcede in the United Kingdom partners with a major consumer financial services group to scale its cloud data estate. The data and AI function is expanding, and you will work day to day with engineers, scientists, analysts and architects across a genuinely broad platform.

The culture is agile and hands-on, focusing on durable, reusable data products rather than ad hoc reporting. You will own models end to end and see them used widely across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in dimensional and end-to-end modelling with dbt and SparkSQL.
• Proficient in Python, PySpark and SQL with ETL experience.
• Experience with a modern lakehouse or cloud warehouse such as Databricks or Snowflake on AWS or Azure.
• Familiar with orchestration/automation tools like Airflow, Git and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on building durable platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and tune pipelines feeding analytics and AI workloads with reliability and scale.
• Own data models from source to curated outputs trusted across the business.
• Integrate data from diverse systems applying governance, quality, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with product owners and agile squads to turn business problems into data solutions.
• Shape the team's tooling, testing, and engineering practices across the data community.
