Analytics Engineer: dbt, SQL & Fintech Data Modeling

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data-focused engineer to contribute to data models that support credit decisions, origination, and investor reporting. You will build and improve dbt models and transformations under guidance from senior engineers, while collaborating with analysts and stakeholders.

You will act as a bridge between analysts, backend engineers, product teams, and the data platform team to ensure data is modeled effectively.

Qualifications

• Solid SQL skills and a willingness to keep improving them.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or ELT pipelines.
• Collaborative working style and clear communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Growing understanding of data modelling and how analytical datasets should be structured for reliability and usability.
• Comfort using AI tools to move faster and improve the quality of your work.
• Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse.
• Interest in learning from and supporting analysts through shared patterns and good practices.
• Fintech or scale-up experience.
