Job summary

Tes Global is seeking an Analytics Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines, models, and reporting solutions. The role focuses on delivering reliable data for analysis across the business, collaborating with stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.

Based in the UK with hybrid work options, you will work with Looker, Power BI, and Tableau, using dbt, Fivetran, and AWS to drive data-driven decisions. The position is full-time within the Data & Insights team.

Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills with real-world experience.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and modern ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and transformation layers.
  • Proven ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for insights.

Job description

Salary: £49,000 - 89,000 per year

Requirements
  • Strong SQL skills with demonstrable real-world experience
  • Hands-on experience with dbt and modern ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and transformation layers
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from data
  • Experience with BI and visualisation tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Agile mindset, with experience delivering iterative, value-driven solutions
  • Desirable: AWS architecture experience
  • Desirable: Python or R experience
  • Desirable: Product analytics experience
  • Desirable: B2B SaaS or subscription experience
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines and transformation logic, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and ready for analysis and consumption
  • Work closely with business teams to understand requirements, identify pain points, and deliver data solutions that meet real business needs
  • Explore and analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, communicating findings clearly and effectively
  • Develop and support scalable data models and contribute to dashboards and reporting solutions that enable self-serve analytics, including conversational analytics

This is a full-time, permanent Analytics Engineer role within our Data & Insights team, based in Sheffield or London with a hybrid working pattern that includes three days each week in the office.
