Job summary

Carbon60 seeks a Scientist II for a 12-month contract in Deeside. The role involves performing analytical testing on medical devices, skincare products, and raw materials, following SOPs, OCIs and TDs, and supporting method development and validation.

The successful candidate will contribute to R&D projects, ensure GMP/GLP compliance, and operate instruments such as HPLC, FTIR and ICP-MS, with responsibilities across data reporting, quality documentation, and internal audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and knowledge of lab safety.
• Experience with analytical chemistry techniques and laboratory operations.
• Ability to follow SOPs, OCIs, and Technical Documents.
• Experience in analytical method validation.
• Proficiency in MS Word/Excel and data reporting.
• Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a regulated environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing of medical devices, skincare products, and raw materials per approved protocols.
• Analyse and report laboratory data in line with GMP/GLP requirements.
• Compile results and generate technical reports to support product development.
• Perform method development and validation activities and troubleshoot methods.
• Maintain ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 compliance through GLP/GMP procedures.
• Operate and maintain analytical equipment (HPLC, FTIR, ICP-MS) and coordinate vendor servicing.
• Prepare quality documentation, EDMS submissions, and participate in audits.
• Train and mentor junior staff and collaborate with R&D teams.
