Job summary

A leading analytical testing firm in Macclesfield seeks an analyst responsible for performing pharmaceutical raw materials analysis and ensuring compliance with GMP standards. The role includes mentoring junior staff, developing analytical procedures, and enhancing service quality through continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be proactive in addressing customer requirements and maintaining a clean and compliant laboratory environment. Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analysis using various analytical techniques.
• Review analytical data for GMP compliance.
• Prepare and approve results for tests if competent.
• Train other employees in analytical techniques as required.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Develop and validate analytical procedures with minimal supervision.
• Initiate and follow-up on OOS results.
• Identify opportunities for quality improvement.
• Document data as per AZ policies and procedures.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation.
• Update relevant documentation including SOPs.
• Participate in preparing protocols and reports.
• Ownership of packages of work agreed with clients.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to shared learning.
• Interface with clients and vendors.
• Enhance service quality and GMP compliance.
• Understand and meet customer requirements.
• Address customer queries with support.
• Stay updated with technological revisions.
• Measure productivity through agreed metrics.
• Maintain a clean laboratory area.
• Adhere to customer safety and quality standards.
• Assist in team planning and recruitment as needed.
• Handle decisions with customer service focus.
• Ensure reliability in work practices.
