Job summary

Apex Resources is recruiting an Analytics Platform Engineer (DevOps) to design, develop and enhance a modern analytics platform that underpins critical Defence data solutions. The role is based in Gloucestershire with hybrid working on a 6 month contract, with potential extension.

You will build scalable cloud infrastructure, manage CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with Data Scientists and MLOps teams. Essential skills include Python, Kubernetes, Docker and GitLab-style pipelines; DV clearance

Qualifications

• Proven experience building analytics or data platform infrastructure.
• Strong Linux and cloud engineering background.
• Experience collaborating with data science teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable analytics platforms and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and support.
• Develop and enhance platform capabilities while maintaining existing analytics solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, optimise performance and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers and other teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Adapt to varied workloads and tackle complex engineering challenges across technologies.

We are looking for an Analytics Platform Engineer to help design, develop and enhance a modern analytics platform that supports the delivery of business-critical data solutions. This role will see you building and maintaining scalable platform capabilities, troubleshooting existing services, and providing technical support to Data Scientists and MLOps teams working across a range of technologies.

Key Responsibilities of the Analytics Platform Engineer

• Design, build and maintain scalable analytics platforms and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, deployment and ongoing support.
• Develop new platform capabilities while enhancing and maintaining existing analytics solutions.

• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers and other technical teams to deliver reliable, secure and high-performing solutions.
