Summary of the Analytical Laboratory Technician role

As the Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day running of our Analytical Department Group (ADG) laboratory. This is a day shift role, working Monday to Friday and plays a key part in ensuring laboratory activities are carried out smoothly, safely and to a high standard. You will work closely with the wider analytical team and report directly to the Analytical Coordinator, providing essential support to the department.

Your Responsibilities
  • Organising and managing laboratory stores to ensure a constant supply of frequently utilised consumables and reagents.
  • Responsible for laboratory cGMP standards in their area of operation.
  • Handling materials safely and complying with COSHH requirements.
  • Disposing of waste safely.
  • Calibration and monitoring of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

  • Packaging and shipping of laboratory samples for shipment offsite.
  • Preparing general bench reagents.

Requirements For The Role
