Job summary

South East Water is seeking an enthusiastic chemist to join its market leading laboratories. You will support analysts, operate instrumentation, and help manage preparatory equipment in a busy chemistry section.

The role emphasizes accuracy, data entry, and adherence to quality procedures while offering coaching to develop analytical techniques and build a long-term scientific career. 37 hours a week, 8am–8pm shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent numeracy, literacy and computer literacy required.
• Desire to learn and apply knowledge in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to take responsibility for personal and career development.

Responsibilities

• Operate instrumentation in accordance with the Laboratory Management System.
• Assist with maintenance and operation of preparatory equipment.
• Document information with daily logs and equipment records.
• Enter data into the Laboratory Information Management System on time.
• Report quality issues to senior staff and assist with reagents prep.
