Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Analyst to play a hands-on role across the full deal lifecycle, with a focus on European secondary opportunities (LP and GP-led). You will engage directly with management teams and fund managers to conduct asset- and portfolio-level analysis, build financial models and prepare materials for investment committees.

The role requires strong academics and 1–2 years in private equity, investment banking, or consulting, plus excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of private equity, top-tier investment banking, or consulting experience preferred.
• Strong quantitative, modelling and valuation skills.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with clear investment justification.
• Interest in AI and automation, with hands-on experimentation a plus.

Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• A strong academic background
• 1-2 years' experience in private equity, top-tier investment banking, and/or consulting
• Excellent quantitative, modelling and valuation skills, with sound investment judgement and a keen sense of risk/reward
• A genuine appetite for self-directed learning - particularly around AI and automation, with hands‑on experimentation a plus
• A proactive, creative problem-solver who can work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple workstreams with excellent attention to detail
• A positive, collaborative attitude
• Fluent written and spoken English (additional languages a bonus)
