A leading insurance company in Leicester is seeking an Analyst Microservices Developer to support the development and maintenance of microservices-based applications. This role offers the opportunity to learn agile delivery methods, contribute to coding and testing tasks, and engage with experienced mentors. The ideal candidate will have a background in software development with exposure to Java, and a desire to follow best engineering practices. As an Analyst Microservices Developer you will be an integral part of the CIO Technology Engineering team supporting the development and maintenance of microservices-based applications. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads to deliver high‑quality scalable and secure solutions that meet business needs.
This role is designed to help you build foundational skills in microservices development, agile delivery and DevOps practices. You will contribute to coding tasks, testing, documentation and troubleshooting while learning how to apply engineering standards and best practices.
You will be encouraged to ask questions, seek feedback and actively participate in team discussions. Through mentorship and hands‑on experience you will grow your technical capabilities and understanding of the wider system landscape preparing you for progression within the engineering career path.
