Description

The Financial Control Analyst will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining the financial control framework across the UK operating businesses. This position supports the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting through effective analysis, reconciliation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support month-end close activities to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, including P&L analysis to assist the FP&A team.
  • Prepare initial month-end commentary for review and feedback.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations to maintain robust financial control.
  • Administer and reconcile third-party partner processes.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analytical support as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Be part-qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Demonstrate strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exhibit strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Be proactive and able to work independently, taking ownership and initiative to deliver results.
  • Show a continuous improvement mindset, driving enhancements in processes and reporting.
  • Work effectively within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Display a positive, adaptable, and results-driven attitude with a strong “can-do” approach.
