Job summary

Global Roles seeks an Analyst to support business development for a major bank, coordinating marketing visits and market research. You will prepare materials and background briefs to showcase capabilities and sustain the pipeline.

You will help map opportunities, design pitch books, and contribute to external visibility through marketing materials and outreach efforts, leveraging banking and regional experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in corporate and business development, marketing and research at a leading investment or commercial firm.
• Broad knowledge of the banking project cycle and marketing principles.
• Familiarity with Bank procedures and systems (SAP, DTM, ERD, CRM).
• Strong written and verbal English communication; other languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare marketing business development visits by senior management.
• Support market mapping, pipeline building and research for opportunities.
• Create background information and marketing materials such as presentations.
• Lead design of an EBRD pitch book and tailor it with banking teams.
• Identify FDI opportunities and support outreach programmes.

Job description

The Analyst supports the Principal, Business Development Lead and Associate in identifying potential Foreign Direct Investment opportunities and raising awareness of the Bank’s capabilities to attract new business. The role involves coordination of business development activities, market research, and preparation of marketing materials to support the Bank’s external visibility and pipeline sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to coordination and preparation of marketing business development visits of EBRD senior management.
• Support Banking/CSG teams in market mapping and pipeline building.
• Provide research and in-depth background information on companies or sectors and prepare supporting marketing materials such as presentations and briefings.
• Take a leading role in the design of an EBRD pitch book and customize it with various Banking/CSG teams.
• Support identification of FDI opportunities in non-COOs and implementation of the Business Outreach Programme.

Requirements

• Corporate and/or business development, marketing, and research experience from a leading investment/merchant or commercial organisation.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of banking project cycle.
• Good knowledge and understanding of key marketing principles.
• Knowledge of Banking Department's procedures and the Bank's rules would be an advantage.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge and maintenance of various BDU databases (BTOR, CRM, Slides Library and Documentum).
• Knowledge of Bank’s systems (SAP, DTM, ERD Business Contacts, Data Warehouse) and internet search engines.
• Prior experience in central and eastern Europe/former Soviet Union and/or SEMED is desirable.
• Very good written and oral communication skills in English. Other languages are an advantage.
