A leading global independent advisory firm is seeking an Analyst or Associate in London to join its real estate investment banking team. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a solid academic background, with relevant experience for either an Analyst or an Associate role. Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, real estate, private equity, or asset management for Analyst role.
  • 2-4+ years’ relevant transaction experience for Associate role, ideally within investment banking or in investing roles with real assets exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of M&A, capital raising, and recapitalisation transactions.
  • Perform financial analysis and valuation of real estate portfolios.
  • Conduct due diligence on real estate funds and underlying assets.
  • Prepare client materials including financial models and presentations.
  • Conduct market and investor research.

The firm advises on mergers and acquisitions, capital structure and restructuring situations, strategic shareholder matters, and public and private capital raising across a broad range of sectors.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking to hire an Analyst or Associate in London to join a specialist real estate focused advisory platform with a strong international footprint. The role offers exposure to a wide variety of transaction types and the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and clients on high‑profile mandates.

The team advises private real estate‑focused companies, sponsors and institutional investors on transactions including private M&A, recapitalisations, secondary transactions, joint ventures, and fundraising for real estate funds. Clients include financial sponsors, asset managers, developers, operators, REITs, and other real estate market participants. The group operates globally, with close collaboration across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution & Analysis
  • Support the execution of M&A, capital raising, recapitalisation and secondary transactions
  • Perform financial analysis and valuation of real estate portfolios, platforms and funds
  • Conduct due diligence on real estate funds, managers and underlying assets
  • Maintain and analyse financial and operational data on industry participants
  • Assist with transaction structuring and fundraising strategy development
Marketing & Client Deliverables
  • Prepare client materials including pitchbooks, information memoranda (CIMs/OMs), financial models and management presentations
  • Conduct market, investor and comparable company research
  • Support investor outreach processes and assist in managing due diligence
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to track and respond to information requests
