YOUR ROLE

As part of the Imaging division, a world-leading developer of optical solutions, the successful candidate manages a team of analogue designers in Edinburgh, Scotland, that specializes in Time-of-Flight products. These devices leverage single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technology to deliver high-precision, time-resolved imaging for mobile and non-mobile applications requiring 3D and depth sensing. The analogue team plays a critical role from architecture through design, implementation, verification, all the way to support for volume production. The team activities cover both intellectual property (IP) and the full mixed-signal system of a Time-of-Flight device. In addition to managing the analogue team, the role interfaces with other managers and teams in the wider silicon development organization in Edinburgh. These teams include digital, firmware, physical implementation, validation, and engineering teams. The role also interfaces with managers of other analogue teams in ST's Imaging division.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and mentor a team of analogue circuit designers in development and execution
  • Perform hands-on design work and provide close support for team members' technical and professional development
  • Identify and develop team competencies to maintain state-of-the-art expertise and autonomous execution
  • Manage resource allocation, priorities, and planning for team members
  • Oversee execution and drive work to completion
  • Collaborate across design groups and contribute to continuous improvement of solutions and methods
  • Promote an innovative mindset
  • Foster an environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and excellence
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
  • Proven experience with the analogue design flow and mastery of fundamental analog design theory and methods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to mentoring
  • Experience in technical leadership or people leadership
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong growth mindset
