Job summary

Zyphe is hiring an AML/KYC Analyst in London to join a small, senior team building Compliance-as-a-Service for fintechs, banks, and crypto firms across Europe, the UK and the US.

You’ll review KYC/KYB files prepared by our AI-enabled agents, make final calls on approvals and escalations, and document decisions with clear rationale. The role blends hands-on analysis with shaping product workflows and becomes a core part of our growing compliance function.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years in AML/KYC/KYB or FinCrime operations.
• Knowledge of UK Money Laundering Regulations, JMLSG and FCA expectations.
• Experience reviewing complex corporate clients and ownership structures.
• Experience with sanctions, PEP, and adverse-media screening.
• Strong written English and ability to explain a decision clearly and briefly.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Case review and final approvals on KYC/KYB files.
• Analyse ownership chains and verify ultimate beneficial owners.
• Assess risk ratings and challenge them when needed.
• Triage sanctions, PEP and adverse-media alerts, escalate true matches.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers.
• Draft SARs and support MLRO investigations.
• Maintain audit trails and write concise case notes.
• Collaborate with CTO and product teams to improve agents.
• Join client calls to explain decisions and gather feedback.
