Job description

Role Overview

The post holder will work as a Specialist CAMHS Mental Health Nurse (Band 7) within the Adolescent Mental Health Team (AMHT) based in South Bedfordshire – Luton.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist mental health assessments, interventions, and care coordination for adolescents presenting with complex and high‑risk mental health needs, including first‑episode psychosis, severe depression, emotional dysregulation, self‑harm, and trauma‑related difficulties.
• Act as a Care Coordinator within the Care Programme Approach (CPA) framework, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) comprising psychiatry, psychology, social work, and occupational therapy.
• Contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence‑based care, ensuring the involvement of young people and families throughout the therapeutic process, and uphold the Trust’s values of "We Care, We Respect, We Are Inclusive".
