Job summary

Ambitions Personnel in Ilkeston is seeking a proactive Junior Accountant to support a varied client portfolio, gaining exposure to accounts, VAT and tax work. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and develop practical accounting experience within a modern practice.

You will ideally hold an AAT qualification or be studying towards AAT, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

• Prepare limited company, sole trader and partnership accounts.
• Prepare VAT returns.
• Prepare Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns.
• Support senior team members with client work.

• Work with modern cloud accounting software.
• Maintain accurate and high-quality financial records.
• Develop technical accounting and tax knowledge.
• Support the wider team and contribute to a positive working environment.
