Qualifications

• Newly Qualified status or above with experience in Criminal Law.
• Strong academic and technical knowledge of criminal law.
• Genuine interest in developing a career within criminal defence.
• Good advocacy and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied criminal defence caseload.
• Advising and representing clients at the Police Station.
• Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court and, where appropriate, the Crown Court.
• Handling matters across the full spectrum of criminal defence work, from lower-level offences through to serious and complex cases.
• Providing clear, practical and robust legal advice to clients.
