You will implement procurement strategies, manage the supply base, negotiate best deals, and seek opportunities to improve category performance. The role involves building supplier relationships, negotiating terms, monitoring market trends, and ensuring products meet safety and quality standards while supporting promotions and launches.

Qualifications

• Proven buying experience in ambient goods, ideally in foodservice or wholesale.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Commercially astute, data-driven and target-focused.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure ambient products aligned with company strategy and customer demand.
• Build relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and availability.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to maximise profitability.
• Monitor market trends, seasonal availability and pricing fluctuations.
• Work with QA teams to ensure products meet food safety standards.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to support category promotions and launches.
• Analyse sales data and stock levels for effective inventory management.
