Job summary

Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is recruiting a Transport Porter to join our Coatbridge Distribution Centre. You will help sort, route, and load customer orders while maintaining safe, efficient operations in a busy transport environment.

The role supports wholesale distribution across Europe, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and timely handling of shipments. The candidate should be dependable and able to work Mon–Fri, 15:30–21:30, 29 hours weekly, at competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Accurately check orders and totes against route documentation and drop sheets.
• Identify, record, and report any missing orders or totes to the Line Manager.
• Allocate orders and totes to the correct pallet or route cage.
• Prioritise orders according to vehicle departure schedules.
• Load vehicles safely and accurately in line with operational instructions.
• Ensure all bins, boxes, bags, pallets, and cages are handled and stored safely.
• Follow load security procedures to ensure goods remain secure during transit.
• Sort and organise empty totes in designated locations.
• Safely transfer orders to loading bays in preparation for dispatch.
• Carry out re-picks of missing orders when required.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site standards.
• Support with additional warehouse and transport tasks as directed by management.

Transport Porter

Location: Coatbridge

Work Pattern: Mon – Fri 15:30 – 21:30 (20 mins break)

29 Hours per week

Salary: £12.96ph

Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Transport Porter to join our Coatbridge Distribution Centre. Supporting our wholesale distribution services across Europe, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are accurately sorted, routed, and loaded for delivery. Working as part of a busy transport operation, you will help maintain service levels by ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
