Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in or around Bury St Edmunds who have additional learning and behavioural needs. The role focuses on bespoke lesson plans to bridge learning gaps and rebuild confidence, with a patient, adaptable approach.

Sessions are 1:1, with hours varying; minimum 1 hour and maximum 3 hours per session. Location is in or around Bury St Edmunds, England, with both part-time and full-time possibilities depending on

Qualificações

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent.
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable).

Responsabilidades

• Complete baseline assessments with the students to understand their individual needs.
• Plan and deliver tutoring sessions which have been tailored to their needs.
• Provide support in core subjects including Maths, English and Science.
• Build the students confidence and encourage independence and positive study habits.

Alternative Provisions Tutor - Bury St Edmunds

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in or around Bury St Edmunds who have additional learning and behavioural needs.

In this role, you will create and deliver bespoke lessons aimed at bridging learning gaps, boosting confidence, and helping students reconnect with education. Many of the pupils you support may have been away from mainstream education for some time, so a patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach is essential.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Bury St Edmunds
• Position - Alternative Provisions Tutor
• Type of work - Contract
• Duration / Likely Duration - dependent on each student
• End date - N/A
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour. The hourly rate will be in line with professional pay scales where these are available or based on experience if they are not available.
• Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

To be eligible for the Alternative Provisions Tutor position through Prospero Teaching you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional educational references that cover the last two years
