We currently have exciting opportunities for passionate, dedicated and skilled ALS and Exams Access Administrators to work up to 37 hours per week, Term time only. The information below provides more detail about the role.

Duties
  • Provide general administrative support to the Learning Support team, including answering phone calls, responding to enquiries, taking messages, and raising purchase orders.
  • To intercept and collate the in-year ALS admissions forms and record these on college systems
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of electronic and paper records, including regular file auditing and monthly updates.
  • To produce template documents required for recording and evidencing support for EHCP students
  • Ensure all learner information is processed confidentially and in accordance with GDPR and college policies.
  • Provide administrative support in preparing documents and evidence required for assessment.
  • Attend, take minutes, and document sensitive meetings (e.g., annual reviews).
  • Liaise with external organisations, schools, parents/carers, colleges and agencies to support ALS processes.
  • Liaise with curriculum teams and Health & Safety to support completion of risk assessments and PEEPs for EHCP learners across sites.
  • Act as a first point of contact for parents/carers and key stakeholders in relation to ALS and EHCP-related enquiries and follow up as appropriate.
  • Assist wider college departments (e.g., Apprenticeships, Safeguarding Teams) with related administrative tasks when required.
  • Provide a high-quality customer service experience for students, parents, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the ALS Department at open events and school careers evenings during peak times (where required).
  • Carry out other duties as reasonably required and support occasional coverage across Student Support.
  • Assist with timetabling and tracking personalised timetables for students with support needs.
  • Support with administration of Exam arrangements.
  • Contact schools to obtain Form 8 documentation and previous evidence.
  • Work with the ALS Administration and Exams Access Coordinator to prepare Form 8 documents and supporting evidence.
  • Prepare all resources for the external assessor (appointments, room bookings, documentation).
  • Request evidence from wider college staff and ensure all relevant documentation is uploaded correctly to college systems, including data protection forms.
  • Work with the Exams team to process online EAA applications.
  • Support administration of general exam arrangements where required.

Qualifications
