Job summary

Signet Jewelers is seeking an Allocator in Watford with a hybrid working pattern. You will support the Merchandise Planning team to ensure stores have the right stock at the right time to meet demand and drive commercial targets.

You will analyse data, manage stock flows from suppliers to stores, and collaborate with Buying, Logistics, Stores and E-Commerce to optimise performance. This role shapes stock strategy and Go To Market execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage and authorise stock call-offs from suppliers into our warehouse using B2B systems.
• Manage stock orders to maximise sales while supporting stock targets.
• Propose, place and maintain orders to achieve target service levels.
• Monitor store stock levels and optimise them against plans.
• Support the setup of stock packs for new stores.
• Implement price changes when required.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Respond to store requests and queries quickly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate departmental data, systems and files.
• Prepare data and support regular reporting requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the Merchandise Planning team.
• Work closely with Buying, Logistics, Stores, E-Commerce and Visual Merchandising.
• Ensure activities align with Go To Market deadlines.
• Develop understanding of processes, policies and Competition Act requirements.

We're looking for an Allocator to join our Merchandise Planning team at Signet Jewelers. Working alongside our Buying and Merchandise Planning teams, you'll play an important role in making sure our stores have the right stock available to meet customer demand and support our sales and commercial targets.

What you’ll be doing

As an Allocator, you'll help manage the flow of stock from our suppliers through to our stores, ensuring products are available where and when they are needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and authorising stock call-offs from suppliers into our warehouse using our B2B systems.

Managing stock orders to maximise sales while supporting stock targets.

Monitoring store stock levels and ensuring they are optimised in line with agreed plans.

What we’re looking for

We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, commercially aware and enjoys working with data.

You'll ideally have:

A basic understanding of merchandising and how stock impacts a retail business.

Retail experience would be desirable, as would degree-level education, but we're equally interested in your skills, experience and potential.
