You will analyse data, manage stock flows from suppliers to stores, and collaborate with Buying, Logistics, Stores and E-Commerce to optimise performance. This role shapes stock strategy and Go To Market execution.
Are you organised, analytical and passionate about getting the right products to the right place at the right time?
We're looking for an Allocator to join our Merchandise Planning team at Signet Jewelers. Working alongside our Buying and Merchandise Planning teams, you'll play an important role in making sure our stores have the right stock available to meet customer demand and support our sales and commercial targets.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and making decisions that have a real impact across our retail business.
As an Allocator, you'll help manage the flow of stock from our suppliers through to our stores, ensuring products are available where and when they are needed.
Managing and authorising stock call-offs from suppliers into our warehouse using our B2B systems.
Managing stock orders to maximise sales while supporting stock targets.
Proposing, placing and maintaining orders to achieve target service levels.
Monitoring store stock levels and ensuring they are optimised in line with agreed plans.
Supporting the set-up of stock packs for new stores.
Implementing price changes when required.
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with suppliers.
Responding to store requests and queries quickly and effectively.
Maintaining accurate departmental data, systems and files.
Preparing data and supporting regular reporting requirements.
Providing administrative support to the wider Merchandise Planning team.
Working closely with Buying, Logistics, Stores, E-Commerce and Visual Merchandising teams.
Ensuring all activities are completed in line with our Go To Market process and key deadlines.
Developing a good understanding of relevant processes, policies and Competition Act requirements.
What we’re looking for
We're looking for someone who is naturally organised, commercially aware and enjoys working with data.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
The ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Confidence using PC-based systems and a willingness to learn new systems.
A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
A basic understanding of merchandising and how stock impacts a retail business.
Retail experience would be desirable, as would degree-level education, but we're equally interested in your skills, experience and potential.
At Signet Jewelers, you'll be part of a business behind some of the UK's best-known jewellery brands, including H. Samuel and Ernest Jones.
You’ll work in a collaborative Merchandise Planning environment where your decisions directly contribute to our stores, our customers and our commercial performance.
If you're looking for a role where you can develop your merchandising, analytical and commercial skills within a fast-paced retail environment, we'd love to hear from you.
