Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a therapy assistant practitioner (TAP) to join the Hospital at Home Team in NHS Forth Valley. This multidisciplinary team provides short‑term targeted interventions across the Forth Valley wide area for acutely unwell frail adults living in the community.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who will provide support to allied health professionals working within the team, namely physiotherapists and occupational therapists. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the therapists.

Service delivery is Forth Valley wide.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritise fluctuating workloads and work within a busy and challenging community environment.
  • Provide support in patients’ homes or homely environments.
  • Travel throughout the service delivery area in a timely manner.
  • Work under the guidance of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
  • Partake in a full induction and orientation programme with ongoing support for professional development.
  • Work over 7 days per week.

  • Willingness and ability to travel across the Forth Valley wide area.
