Job summary

Sword is seeking an experienced Allegro ETRM Developer to design, develop and support solutions in an enterprise energy trading environment. You will own the full SDLC, working with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, maintainable applications using C# and .NET.

Desirable skills include Azure, CI/CD, APIs, and cloud/hybrid deployments. You will join a collaborative team, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to DevOps practices across the release

• Strong hands-on C# and .NET development experience in an energy trading setting.
• Ability to own the full SDLC and work with Product Owners and stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced Allegro ETRM Developer to design, develop and support solutions within an enterprise energy trading environment.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on experience of the Allegro Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform, combined with a solid software engineering background in C# and .NET.

You will take ownership across the full software development lifecycle, working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements, design appropriate solutions and deliver high-quality, maintainable applications.

• Design, develop, configure and support solutions within the Allegro ETRM platform.
• Take technical ownership across the full development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.
• Develop and maintain applications, components and integrations using C# and .NET.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and business stakeholders to translate complex trading and operational requirements into technical solutions.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
• Contribute to the integration of Allegro with wider enterprise applications, services and data platforms.
• Produce clean, secure, maintainable and well-tested code in line with software engineering best practice.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and quality assurance activities.
• Work within an Agile delivery environment, contributing to refinement, sprint planning and continuous improvement.
• Support deployment and release activities using modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Produce and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
• Collaborate effectively across development, architecture, testing, infrastructure and business teams.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions using the Allegro ETRM platform.
• Demonstrable experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using C# and .NET.
• Good understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience developing, enhancing and supporting business-critical enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles including:
• Automated and manual testing
• Source/version control
• Code quality and code reviews
• Secure development practices
• Release and deployment management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience delivering software within an Agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• DevOps and deployment automation experience.
• Experience developing or supporting APIs, interfaces and enterprise integrations.
• Experience working with cloud-based or hybrid enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with automated testing and modern engineering practices.
• Knowledge of energy trading, commodity trading or energy markets.
• Wider experience of ETRM/CTRM systems and processes.
