Job summary

MBDA S.A.S. is looking for an Algorithm Developer to join the Weapon System Algorithms and Performance team in the UK.

You will design, develop and test mathematical algorithms using Matlab/Simulink and Python, interpreting specifications and collaborating with Software, Human Factors, Simulation and Modelling, and Systems teams. You will influence mission planning and Command and Control algorithm development while maintaining a strong focus on quality and rigour within a leading defence

Qualifications

• A numerate graduate or post-graduate qualification (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science). Mathematical analysis / modelling and numerical simulation is a core aspect of this role.
• A commitment to product quality and the procedures we follow to ensure it.
• A desire to make an impression within the MBDA engineering community.
• Experience in Data Science and Machine Learning, Geospatial data / GIS or Software development would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test mathematical algorithms using Matlab/Simulink and Python.
• Interpret technical specifications and collaborate with other departments to define algorithm functionality.
• Influence our processes and the way we develop Mission Planning and Command and Control algorithms within the team and more widely within MBDA.
• Demonstrate a dedication to quality through progressive thinking and rigour.

Join our Weapon System team at MBDA as an Algorithm Developer, working on innovative algorithms for advanced weapon systems!Salary: Circa 55,000 depending on experienceDynamic (hybrid) working: 4 days per week on-site due to workload classificationSecurity Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenshipRestrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply.
