Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for registered nurses to join a hospital alcohol liaison team based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. You will be part of an established and innovative nursing service, providing a high standard of recovery focussed care to in-patients. The service provides a key link between hospital, community alcohol services, the third sector and wider care providers. You will be responsible for person-centred, holistic assessment of patients who present to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with alcohol related issues. You will participate in support and education of staff within the acute hospital setting.

We are looking for a highly motivated, compassionate registered nurse with enhanced communication skills from either an adult (RGN) or mental health (RMN) nursing background who have previous experience or a genuine interest in alcohol care.

Post may close earlier if a large volume of applications are received.

You will be directly supervised by a Band 7 lead nurse and participate in caseload supervision. You will be responsible for working with patients, carers and other professionals/agencies in line with legislative frameworks, agreed standards and clinical policies.

This is a full time post, however job share may be considered. This post is a permanent contract.
