Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is partnering with a growing space technology company in Oxford to recruit an experienced AIT Engineer for its hardware development and test team.
This hands-on role focuses on writing and executing GRASP test procedures, setting up hardware tests, and taking ownership from start to finish. You will work with Python, C++, MATLAB and LabJack, contributing across development, qualification and acceptance testing.
We're working confidentially with a growing space technology company in Oxford that is looking for an experienced AIT Engineer to join its hardware development and test team.
This is a genuinely hands-on testing role. They need someone who can come in, get involved directly with the hardware in the lab and take ownership of testing rather than purely writing documentation or managing test activity.
A major part of the role will be being able to write and execute GRASP test procedures, working directly with the software, test equipment and hardware required to take spaceflight products through development, qualification and acceptance testing.
Ideally, you'll have 5+ years' engineering experience with a strong background in hands-on space hardware testing/AIT.
The key thing is being able to drop into the lab and take ownership of a test from start to finish - understand the hardware, write the procedure, set up the software and equipment, execute the test, analyse the results and troubleshoot any issues.
Experience with GRASP test procedures, EGSE, DAQ, LabJack, Python/C++/MATLAB and spaceflight hardware testing would be particularly valuable.
Experience with LabVIEW, fluid system testing, robotic hardware, ECSS, FMEA/root-cause analysis or ISO9001/AS9100 would also be beneficial.
This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on and close to the hardware, rather than working purely within systems engineering or test management.
You must have an existing right to work in the UK.
