Job summary

iO Associates in Reading (UK) is seeking an AIT & Electronics Technician to support the assembly, integration and testing of flight‑quality electronics, harnesses and propulsion hardware in a safety‑critical environment. This hybrid role offers four onsite days with a Thursday WFH option, a salary of £60,000–£65,000 plus equity, a performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.

You will bring hands‑on experience assembling boards and harnesses, IPC‑A‑610 Class 3 and IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 certifications,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience assembling and reworking electronic boards and harnesses.
• IPC-A-610 Class 3 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting AIT, integration and test activities.
• Experience working in ESD-controlled environments.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework and inspect electronic boards to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.
• Build and terminate wiring harnesses and cable assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Crimp, solder and install connectors, backshells and protective measures.
• Build and maintain electrical and mechanical test setups.
• Support AIT and environmental testing, including thermal vacuum and vibration.

About Role:

We are seeking an AIT & Electronics Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of flight-quality electronics, harnesses, and propulsion hardware within a fast-paced, safety-critical engineering environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Assemble, rework and inspect electronic boards to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards
• Build and terminate wiring harnesses and cable assemblies to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
• Crimp, solder and install connectors, backshells and protective measures
• Build and maintain electrical and mechanical test setups

What You’ll Bring:

Nice to Have:

• Basic CAD literacy and propulsion systems experience
