Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority is seeking an Airspace Modernisation Lead planner to drive the UK AMS strategy as a senior planner and subject-matter expert on technical and planning elements. You will collaborate with partners across the CAA and beyond to deliver the 2050 airspace modernisation goals, aligning national and international policies and guiding complex stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

Clear understanding of the UK AMS and related aims and objectives.
Good working knowledge of airspace change framework and national legislation with implications for airspace users.
Proven experience in developing strategic or operational plans and producing multifaceted strategy documents.
Experienced leader of multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence at all levels internally and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and draft Airspace Modernisation plans and strategy documents.
Internal and external UK stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Influencing at the International level to align UK AMS with global plans.
Coordinate with airspace users and industry to support AMS policy across national/international levels.
Collaborate with Delivery Teams (CAA, NERL, MoD) to ensure AMS coherence.
