Job summary

Swissport is seeking a Ramp Agent to support Jersey Island operations at Jersey Airport. This part-time role requires 20 or 24 hours per week with shift work, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

You will load/unload baggage and cargo, marshal aircraft, and operate ground service equipment while maintaining safety and high service standards. Key responsibilities include aircraft servicing, cabin cleaning, water replenishment, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load and unload baggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
• Marshal aircraft to and from gates, ensuring safe and precise positioning.
• Operate ground service equipment, such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, in a safe and responsible manner.
• Perform aircraft servicing tasks, including cabin cleaning, lavatory servicing, and water replenishment.
• Adhere to all safety and security procedures, including aircraft marshalling signals and hazardous material handling guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service to passengers and airline partners.
