Job summary

Swissport International AG is seeking an Airport Team Manager to lead daily operations at the Southampton airport site. You will motivate staff to meet airline targets while complying with procedures, policies and brand values.

The role requires strong leadership, P&L accountability and agile, customer-focused delivery in a high-demand environment. You will drive safety, performance, and profitability, aligning with corporate strategy and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with significant P&L accountability and leadership of large teams
• Excellent organisational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience leading airport/transport/logistics operations is desirable

Responsibilities

• Safety Leader: ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and company procedures
• P&L Management: meet labour-to-revenue targets and control costs
• Leadership and Stakeholder Management: lead teams, manage relationships with stakeholders and unions
• Quality Focus, Service Delivery and Operational Efficiency: plan resources and monitor KPIs to maintain high standards
• Business Growth and Strategy: identify opportunities to enhance profitability and customer relationships
• Relationship Builder: build trust with senior leaders, unions, regulators, and customers
