Job summary

Sodexo Live! is hiring a Kitchen Porter for Emirates Lounge at Gatwick Airport. The role pays £13.90 per hour for a 35-hour week, with a range of employee benefits and recognition programs.

A 5-year checkable work history for airport clearance is required. You'll join a team of hospitality professionals, ensuring hygiene, safety, and cleanliness across catering areas, operating dishwashers, and transporting provisions as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Kitchen Porter.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• A flexible can do attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of customer care.
• Must provide 5-year checkable work history for airport clearance.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that the Company's and statutory regulations regarding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are complied with and all tasks undertaken according to Safeguard regulations.
• To clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Empty bins and ensure waste is separated as per the regulations
• To dispose of waste materials from catering areas to designated compactors
• To operate industrial dishwashers and glasswashers in all catering areas.
• To transport provisions, equipment and other catering related items as required.
• To maintain clean working environment at all times, with special regard to hygiene
• General Kitchen cleanliness, including deep cleans
