Consultora Excelsior is looking for dedicated Airport Cleaning Operatives to ensure a world-class experience at Newcastle Airport. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas, managing waste, and ensuring restroom facilities are hygienic. Candidates should be reliable, physically fit, and able to communicate effectively in English. The position offers flexible shifts and opportunities for career progression, with salaries ranging from £17.50 to £24.50 per hour. Full training and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to commute to the airport for early starts or late finishes; flexible with shift patterns.
• Good level of spoken English to communicate with team members and passengers.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift and perform manual cleaning tasks.
• A can-do approach and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining high-traffic areas including departure lounges and check-in desks.
• Ensuring restroom facilities are cleaned, disinfected, and restocked throughout the shift.
• Emptying bins, recycling properly, and ensuring floors are free of litter.
• Operating industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuum cleaners.
• Reporting any unattended baggage or suspicious activity to Airport Security.
• Providing friendly assistance to passengers about directions or facilities.
