Job summary

hireful is recruiting an Airfreight Manager to take ownership of a developing airfreight function in County Antrim, onsite, with the role commutable from nearby towns. You will grow volumes, build robust processes and lead a developing team within an established logistics group.

The role requires IATA certification and a valid Dangerous Goods certification, plus a proven track record in international freight forwarding and strong client relationship management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within airfreight operations or management.
• Current IATA certification and valid Dangerous Goods certification.
• Demonstrable track record of business development and commercial growth.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the developing airfreight function and growing volumes.
• Building processes and SOPs while overseeing day-to-day operations and service delivery.
• Working with Customs and Trade Compliance to meet international regulations.
• Leading and developing the airfreight team and driving continuous improvement.
• Managing costs, budgets and profitability while negotiating rates with carriers.
• Monitoring market developments and expanding airfreight offerings.
