Job summary

Morson Technical Services seeks a Structural Technician for a permanent role based at RNAS Yeovilton. You will perform aircraft structural repairs and related tasks, maintain currency and authorisations, and follow established procedures and safety controls.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in Aircraft Manufacturing/Repair and may involve working towards an NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering. You’ll operate within WMS guidelines and coordinate with supervisors and inspectors.

• Must have a minimum 3 years Aircraft Manufacturing/Repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks as directed.
• Hold authorisations to minimum level required by WMS including first signature within own trade group.
• Maintain technical currency and authorisation through training and reading disseminated information.
• Observe authorised tool control procedures when carrying out repairs.
• Operate AGE and Hangar facilities as directed and ensure FOD clearance.
• Prepare to work towards achieving NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering discipline.

Morson Technical Services are currently seeking a Structural Technician on a permanent basis based at RNAS Yeovilton.

JOB PURPOSE, MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

• Aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks.
• To hold authorisations to the minimum level required by WMS, this is to include first signature within own trade group (Limited to Aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks) and as detailed in OP 1103 and IAW individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
• Maintain technical currency and authorisation through the training program and reading disseminated information.
• Aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks, as tasked by WBM Structures Supervisors / Inspector and IAW published procedures and Instructions.
• Observing authorised tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) when carrying out Aircraft structural repairs and associated tasks.
• Operation of AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
• FOD clearance and checking the security of the dispersal area.
• Administration and husbandry of the Working environment
• Be prepared to work towards achieving NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering discipline.
