Job summary

Meritus Talent is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic for our Norwich-based role offering a 37.5-hour week on a seasonal pattern and a salary of £38,608. You will join a regulated maintenance team performing aircraft upkeep using approved data, with emphasis on safety, quality and airworthiness.

Ideal candidates hold an Apprenticeship in Aircraft Engineering or equivalent Armed Forces training, with basic IT and documentation skills, and a willingness to work within a structured shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in aircraft maintenance using approved maintenance data.
• Knowledge of airworthiness standards and safety policies.
• Familiarity with Part 145 requirements.
• Willingness to work seasonal shift pattern.
• Good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
• Complete maintenance activities safely, efficiently and to the required airworthiness standards.
• Ensure all maintenance work is accurately documented.
• Follow all company Health & Safety policies and report any hazards, incidents or near misses.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the work area.
• Ensure effective shift handovers.
• Maintain and control personal tooling in line with company procedures.
• Report airworthiness and safety concerns through the internal reporting system.
• Support aircraft maintenance activities at outstations when required.
