Job summary

British Airways is recruiting a Mechanic to ensure our fleet remains airworthy. Under supervision you will carry out maintenance tasks, component changes, routine checks, and inspections, recording changes in our engineering system.

You will bring at least 12 months aircraft mechanic experience, strong hand skills, and the ability to follow procedures. UK Driving Licence is preferred; internal candidates may reference Engineers logbook.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months demonstrable experience as an aircraft mechanic.
• Good engineering hand skills and ability to follow procedures and technical documentation.
• Good interpersonal and people skills; effective communicator.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; PC literate.
• Ability to work with engineering and document management systems.
• UK Manual Driving Licence (Airside Driving Licence desirable).

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform servicing and maintenance tasks on aircraft or components.
• Operate vehicles and lifting equipment within permit limits.
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Record and complete IT and documentary transactions.
• Support the development of a high-performance team and align with Hallmarks.
• Support delivery of departmental and directorate objectives.
