Company Overview

Morson Are recruting for Aircraft Fitters on behalf of our prestigious client, based at RAF Brize Norton. The company provides MAA Part 145 Aircraft support to the RAF A400M (Atlas) fleet.

Responsibilities

General Responsibility as an Aircraft Fitter you will be responsible for Maintenance, Repairs and Modifications to the aircraft. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the supporting manuals.
  • Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
  • Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a “clean as you go” approach.
  • Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures.
  • Complying with the safety policy.
  • Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
  • An awareness of COSHH, Working at height and Manual handling safety requirements.
  • Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment.
  • Can accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
  • Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
Essential Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy the Training / Maintenance management team.
  • Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS and SFAR 88 certificate.
  • Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to obtain full SC security clearance.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience on A400M, Propeller or Wide body Aircraft.
  • Previous exposure to and Amos.
  • Knowledge of Military Aviation Authority (MAA) MRP Part 145 regulations.
  • Have good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Possess proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner.
  • IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.
Typical Working Conditions

Primarily based in Brize Norton, however travel may be required. Shift will be 5x5x4. PPE is provided and its use is mandatory in the performance of your work.

Salary

£41,085.00 per annum + £2,720 shift uplift.
