Position: Aircraft Mechanic

Location: Bournemouth Airport, Dorset, England

Working Hours: 5‑5‑4 Shift Pattern, 12 Hour Shifts

Gama Aviation is a highly reputable Business Aviation company serving both fixed‑wing and rotary aircraft. We have recently become an Authorized Service Centre of Embraer and continue to expand with exciting contracts. The Aircraft Mechanic will join our dynamic Engineering Team at our modern base facility in Bournemouth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out assigned maintenance, repairs, and modifications of aircraft and associated systems as allocated.
  • Clearly record on worksheets details of the tasks completed, accurately reflecting the work performed with time booking.
  • When not assigned to an aircraft, fully utilise available time productively to support the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, and pursue personal development for career growth.
  • Comply with all procedures detailed within the GAEL Maintenance Organisation Exposition.
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures and COSHH requirements.
  • Comply with all procedures listed in the current Staff Company Handbook.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the position.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
  • At least 2 years of recent experience working in a Base or Line Support 145 organisation in a business jet or General Aviation environment.
  • Completed a City and Guilds or diploma equivalent in aircraft engineering or relevant technical apprenticeship and/or trade qualifications.
  • Demonstrated high level of skill across multiple disciplines, such as mechanical, structural, and power‑plant tasks.
