Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic to join the F-35 aircraft programme support team at RAF Marham. Work in a state-of-the-art department dedicated to one of the UK’s most advanced defence aviation programmes.

Located near RAF Marham, the role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology and the Continuing Airworthiness system. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering high standards of maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying EASA/MRP Part 145 regulations.
• Experience on complex military aircraft programmes.
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent military training.
• City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Approved Technical Information, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented and that airworthiness records are accurately maintained.
• Identify, report, and escape technical issues or discrepancies where appropriate.
• Comply with MOE procedures and operational standards.
• Apply Human Factors and Error Management within the Safety Management System.
• Support Continuing Airworthiness Assurance by ensuring work meets CAP/CAAM requirements.
• Undertake a range of maintenance tasks including role changes, component removal/installation, inspections, repairs, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with Approved Technical Information, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented and that airworthiness records are accurately maintained.
• Identify, report, and escape technical issues or discrepancies where appropriate.
• Comply with the organisation’s Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), procedures, and operational standards.
• Apply Human Factors and Error Management principles as part of the Safety Management System.
• Support Continuing Airworthiness Assurance by ensuring all work meets the requirements of the Continuing Airworthiness Management System.
• Undertake a variety of aircraft maintenance tasks including aircraft role changes, component removal and installation, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectification, component replacement, and functional or system testing.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working within and applying EASA/MRP Part 145 regulations.
• Experience supporting complex military aircraft programmes.
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent military training.
• Minimum academic qualification of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance, or equivalent.

The Team

You will be part of the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Team, working within a team of approximately 12 maintainers in a diverse, fast-paced operational environment. The team undertakes a wide range of aircraft and component maintenance activities, operating in line with approved technical documentation and the organisation’s MOE.
