Job summary

Gold Group is recruiting an Aircraft Maintenance Technician for RAF Marham in Norfolk on a permanent basis. You will perform maintenance on aircraft and support the F-35 fleet, ensuring compliance with technical information and airworthiness requirements.

The role features a 4-day week, Mon-Thu, 07:15–17:00, with a salary of 36,443 GBP plus benefits and potential relocation support.

Qualifications

• Experience with EASA/MRP Part 145 procedures and documentation.
• Experience maintaining military aircraft programmes.
• Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Level 3 qualification in Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance or City & Guilds equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on aircraft including role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, and testing.
• Ensure airworthiness records are correctly maintained and all activities comply with technical data and risk assessments.
• Document all activities accurately and escalate issues as needed.
• Adhere to MOE procedures, standards and company policies during maintenance tasks.
• Apply Safety Management System principles including human factors and error management.
• Ensure Continuing Airworthiness Assurance compliance for maintenance activities.

Job description

Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Location: RAF Marham, Norfolk

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: 36,443 + benefits & relocation support potential

Aircraft Mechanics required to provide support to the F-35 Fleet based at RAF Marham.

4 Day Week Mon - Thurs! Hours: 07.15 - 17.00.

Candidates would need to hold British nationality and have lived & worked in the UK for 5+ years and be eligible for SC security clearance.

What the role of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician entails:

• You will be undertaking a range of maintenance on an aircraft which may include, as appropriate, aircraft role changes, component removals, inspections, repairs, modifications, fault rectifications, replacements and/or functional/system test
• Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with the Approved Technical Information and relevant risk assessments and that all airworthiness records are maintained
• Make sure all activities are appropriately documented and identify and report any issues and elevate as appropriate
• Procedure/Standards - Complying with the Organisations MOE, its associated procedures and standards, and any other company procedures and standards
• Safety Management System - You will understand and apply human factors, error management, within maintenance
• Continuing Airworthiness Assurance (Quality) - Ensuring maintenance activities are compliant with the Continuing Airworthiness Assurance Management system

What experience you need to be the successful Aircraft Maintenance Technician:

• Experience of EASA/MRP Part 145
• Experience of working on military aircraft programmes
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent military qualifications
• Academic qualification for this role is a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance or equivalent e.g. City & Guilds 2675 or 2661.
