Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor – London

Location: London City Airport

Salary: Basic Pay £77,413 + Shift Pay £7,500 = Total £84,913 per year, plus private healthcare

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 5-5-4 shift pattern, 37.5 hours per week, guaranteed 2 weekends off per month

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled line maintenance team at London City Airport. You’ll be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and efficient maintenance on their Embraer E190 fleet, supporting both scheduled and reactive maintenance.

This is a fast-paced, high-frequency environment with short runways and steep approaches, where leadership, precision, and operational excellence are critical. You’ll drive a culture of integrity, teamwork, and continuous improvement, while mentoring and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the line maintenance team, coordinating daily work requirements.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with CAA Part 145 procedures.
  • Support AOG recovery and defect rectification.
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, and reliability.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, high-quality workmanship, and operational efficiency.
Essential Requirements
  • CAA Part-66 B1 or B1/B2 licence with at least 5 years of certifying experience.
  • Experience leading engineering teams in a line maintenance environment.
  • Minimum of 1 current aircraft type authorisation.
  • Full UK driving licence (or equivalent), airport restricted zone access, and airside driving licence.
Desirable
  • Current Embraer 190 type rating (training can be provided).
  • Familiarity with modern maintenance technologies and mentoring practices.
