Job summary

Flexjet LLC is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Structures (AME S) to join our team. The role focuses on repairing, installing, modifying and inspecting aircraft structural materials, including skins, frames and structural parts.

The position requires reading mechanical drawings, using hand tools and sheet-metal equipment, and working in a team to ensure safety, quality and on-time completion of tasks. Potential for night shifts and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• College/CEGEP/vocational/technical training in Structural Repair.
• Completed a recognized apprenticeship program, and/or minimum 4 years related experience.
• Transport Canada AME "S" license.

Flexjet, an award-winning organization, is currently looking for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Structures (AME S) to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Work with aircraft structural materials and is involved in the repair, installation, modification and inspection of these materials. Responsible for assembly, fit and install of aircraft skins, frames and structural parts. Technicians assemble and install structures including sheet metal extrusion and composite structures and possess knowledge of assembly jigs and tools. Future structural technicians will work with completed assemblies and will be systems integrators

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Technicians are expected to work safely and efficiently at all times.
• Candidates should have general knowledge of aircraft structural fabrication, including repairing, modifying, refurbishing, and fabricating structural and other components.
• Candidates must be able to understand and work from mechanical drawings as well as other written instructions and design specifications. Strong mathematical knowledge is required, as is the ability to make accurate measurements and finish materials to a high level of quality and precision.
• Performs work in a productive, diligent, careful and safe manner.
• Complete any special projects or other tasks as required or assigned. May be assigned to other areas of operations, based on business or customer requirements.
• Works in compliance with all Administrative, Health & Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational/technical training in Structural Repair.
• Completed a recognized apprenticeship program, and/or have a minimum of +4 years industry related experience.
• Transport Canada A.M.E. "S" license.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Must be familiar with a variety of hand tools, and sheet-metal equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow direction with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work as part of a team, where tasks may be shared or reallocated daily.
• Good mobility, manual dexterity and physical condition to work in areas within the aircraft where access may be limited.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively orally and written.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to trouble‑shoot and problem‑solve.
• Ability to maintain professional work habits at all times.
• Excellent planning, organization and coordination skills.
• Excellent judgement and strong attention to detail.

WOKRING HOURS:

This is a full-time (FT) position where hours will change due to business operational needs and flexibility is required. At present the standard hours of work are 6.30am to 6.30pm on a modified 4-day-on, 4-day-off rotation. Second shift (nights) is likely to be added in 2026. Working hours are subject to change to meet operational requirements.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly: $40.00-$64.00

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Regular periods during which physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
• Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and materials which can cause periods of discomfort.
• Work involves repetitive, hands‑on tasks requiring sustained physical effort and manual dexterity.
• Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Able to wear protective equipment for extended periods of time including particle masks, goggles, assorted gloves, head bonnets, and disposable protective suits.
• Frequent need to give concentrated attention, with one or two senses at a time, where stimuli are changing.
• Occasional direct and indirect pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands.
