Job summary

A leading aviation company in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced Aircraft Fitters for immediate start at Luton Airport. The position offers competitive pay for both day (£36.62) and night shifts (£38.46) with a contract lasting until May/June 2026. Candidates must have over 10 years of experience on the Boeing fleet and be able to perform heavy maintenance tasks including landing gear work and fault finding.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on Boeing fleet.
• Experience carrying out major hangar work.
• C checks and APU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy base maintenance and ‘C’ checks on aircraft.
• Landing gear removal and refit.
• Changing brakes and carrying out fault finding.

Job description

MPI is currently recruiting for Aircraft Fitters – Days/Nights available. Based at Luton Airport. Immediate start until May/June 2026. Inside IR35. Days – £36.62ph / Nights £38.46ph – Umbrella.

Duties

• Perform heavy base maintenance and ‘C’ checks on aircraft.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on Boeing fleet.
• Experience carrying out major hangar work.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Good hand skills.
• C checks.
• Landing gear removal and refit.
• Changing brakes.
• Fault finding & rectification work on systems hydraulics and pneumatics/air con.
• APU.
