Job summary

2Excel Engineering, based at Lasham Airfield, Hampshire, is seeking an Aircraft Cleaner for full-time, permanent employment. The role involves cleaning aircraft, hangars, and facilities, with emphasis on safety and efficiency in a busy aviation environment.

Ideally you have prior aircraft cleaning experience, but the position accepts applicants without it. A proactive, team-focused attitude and ability to work at height are important assets for success.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work safely and efficiently within an aviation setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean passenger aircraft internally and externally, and clean smaller light aircraft and components.
• Maintain cleanliness in hangars, walkways, bins and offices.
• Clean onsite ground support equipment (GSE).
• Carry out additional facilities cleaning duties as required.
• Follow instructions from the Cleaning Team Lead and use appropriate safety equipment.

Aircraft Cleaner

Lasham Airfield, Hampshire

Full-time, permanent

Established in 2015 and building on more than 60 years of engineering excellence, 2Excel Engineering is a fast-growing Maintenance and Repair Organisation (MRO) based in Hampshire, delivering service-orientated narrow body Boeing and Airbus Maintenance to Operators and Owners, Leasing Companies and Governments.

The Aircraft Cleaner will carry out the following key responsibilities:

• Cleaning of Passenger aircraft (internally and externally), smaller light aircraft and engineering components
• Maintain cleanliness within the inside and outside of hangars, including floors, walkways, rubbish bins and hangar offices.
• Cleaning onsite GSE
• Some facilities cleaning will be required.
• Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops

• Using chemical agents (after receiving proper instruction and training);
• Carry out any other duties requested by the Cleaning Team Lead

Previous work experience as an aircraft cleaner is a significant advantage but not essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate they can work safely and efficiently within an aviation environment and have the following skills:

• Comfortable working at height when cleaning the aircraft externally (appropriate safety equipment will be provided)
• Ability to cope under pressure, juggling multiple priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail and ensuring high standards are maintained
• Able to follow instructions, whilst also displaying a can-do attitude with initiative to ensure all jobs required are completed in a timely manner
• Excellent team player and communicator
