Job summary

Verelogic Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air Technician for a leading UK specialist in air hygiene and water treatment. The role involves working across sites in the Mid to South of the UK with regular travel and site-based responsibilities, including compliance with TR19 and COSHH when cleaning and maintaining AHUs.

The successful candidate will have prior air hygiene or ventilation hygiene experience, be comfortable with working at height and in confined spaces, and able to complete

Qualifications

• Experience in air hygiene or ventilation hygiene essential.
• Experience with fire damper testing and inspections.
• AHT qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fire damper testing, inspections, and reporting.
• Installing duct access doors.
• Ventilation cleaning and disinfection per TR19 and COSHH.
• Carrying out kitchen extract cleaning to required standards.
• Air Handling Unit (AHU) cleaning, maintenance and corrosion treatment.
• Maintaining accurate site documentation (job sheets, survey forms, timesheets, expenses).
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Job Title: Air Technician

Overview

A leading UK specialist in air hygiene and water treatment solutions is looking for an experienced Air Technician to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ventilation hygiene professional to join a well-established organisation delivering essential services across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, education, local government, and high-security environments.

The role will involve working across sites throughout the Mid to South of the UK, with regular travel required. Due to the nature of the sites attended, successful candidates will be required to complete appropriate security vetting, ranging from enhanced DBS checks through to higher levels of security clearance.

Previous experience within the air hygiene or ventilation hygiene industry is essential.

Key Responsibilities

As an Air Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out fire damper testing, inspections, and reporting
• Installing duct access doors
• Undertaking ductwork and ventilation cleaning and disinfection in line with TR19 guidance and COSHH regulations
• Completing kitchen extract cleaning to required industry standards
• Carrying out Air Handling Unit (AHU) cleaning, maintenance, and corrosion treatment
• Maintaining accurate site documentation, including job sheets, survey forms, timesheets, and expenses
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working within the air hygiene or ventilation hygiene industry (essential)
• Experience with fire damper testing and inspections
• An AHT qualification (preferred but not essential)
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and a practical approach to site work
• The ability to work at height and in confined spaces when required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Flexibility to travel, work occasional unsociable hours, and stay away from home when required
• A full UK driving licence

Location & Travel

You will be predominantly working across the Mid to South of the UK, with travel to customer sites required.
