Are you an experienced Air Safety & Airworthiness Engineer looking for an exciting contract role with the opportunity for hybrid working? Evodia Limited is pleased to partner with a leading client in the Defence sector to find a talented professional for this key position. Our client is seeking a dedicated Air Safety & Airworthiness Engineer to support their Bristol-based team, with a requirement to be onsite for 3 to 4 days per week. This contract is initially until 31st March 2026, with potential to extend into 2029.

Due to the timescales involved, the successful candidate will be required to hold a valid SC security clearance.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead assurance activities on airworthiness artefacts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct safety risk assessments and review MAA Regulatory Publications to support safety and airworthiness claims.
  • Prepare and present approval recommendations to 2* or 1* authorities.
  • Provide expert technical advice at a senior level, leading the delivery of successful engineering outcomes across multidisciplinary projects.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, delivering high standards of integrity and professionalism throughout.
What we're looking for
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, with relevant membership of a recognised Professional Engineering or Science Institute.
  • Level 6 qualification (or higher) in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Airworthiness Engineer, with a focus on Safety, Airworthiness, and compliance assessment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory publications, safety risk assessments, and airworthiness assurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic technical advice and lead complex projects successfully.
Details
  • Location: Bristol, requiring 3 to 4 days onsite per week
  • Contract Duration: Until 31/03/2026, with scope for extension until 2029.
  • Day Rate: Up to £770 per day (inside IR35).
  • Standard Working Hours: 7.5 hours per day.
